Meet Walter
The Origin of Little Cone
Walter has always enjoyed camping with his family, and his favorite part of every trip was building the campfire. Whether at the campsite or in his fireplace at home, he loved the challenge of getting the fire going just right. But sometimes, starting a fire was tricky—especially in bad weather or when things didn’t go as planned.
Walter wanted to make fire-starting easier, whether outdoors or at home, so he set out to create a special kit. A friend from Boy Scouts taught him how to make simple firestarters using old egg cartons, wood shavings, and wax. Inspired, Walter started making his own firestarters and soon realized he could put together everything needed for a great fire in one kit.
From those first experiments, Walter built what became Little Cone—a handy kit that anyone can use to build a cozy fire, whether camping with friends or lighting up the fireplace at home. Now, with Little Cone, fires are easy to start and enjoy, bringing warmth and fun wherever you are.

Walter is a 4th grader with a passion for engineering, rockhounding, Boy Scouts, and the great outdoors. Whether exploring the Oregon Coast, road tripping, or camping with his family, Walter's love for creating and the outdoors shines through in everything he does.
